For example, heavy-duty forklifts used for construction and agriculture are powered by an internal combustion or IC engine. Narrow aisle types designed to be utilized inside warehouses and other confined spaces operate on rechargeable battery.
Lifting Capacity
The lifting capacity of Clark forklift trucks differs based on the type. Battery-powered forklifts have a range from 1100-3000 kilograms, that depends on the kind. For a greater capacity range, the internal combustion kinds are suggested. They can lift from 1400-8000 kilograms.
Engine
Clark electrically-powered forklift trucks run on AC battery cells, either 36 volt or 48 volt. The internal combustion or IC engine kinds have 52 to 100 horsepower engines. The IC types have automatic transmission with three-speed, two-speed and single-speed kinds.
Frame/Cab
The center of the forklift is the frame/cab assembly. This includes the operator's overhead protective cover, the seat and the controls. The frame includes the fuel tank, engine, transmission, trans-axle and wheels.
